about me as static page

I am trying to make my About me page a static page that shows up as soon as you type in my blog address… I’ve read a little bit about widgets or something? Ugh, totally beginner! Lol. I thought I went into a section called customize and thought I was able to add ‘about me’ page as a ‘static page,’ but it still doesn’t show up on the first page. Thanks for your help!!

OK so I just went into themes, then customize and found I could change the About me to be the front page, a static page. However, how do people then find my blogs? Vice versa, how do people reading my blog locate my About me page if it is not on the front page?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So, I saw that I am able to make a widget, and make a separate about me page at about.me, and then enter that address. However, I’d like to use the page I already created with WordPress as another page that shows up along with my current blogs. Any suggestions? THANKS SO MUCH!!

By default, the URL of any site is the front page of the site like this * http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/ unless we change it.

re: creating a static front page
By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.

There must be a page for all posts published in the blog to display on. However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.

To do that create two static pages first
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change there
    A static page (select below)
    Front page:
    Posts page:
    Then click “save changes”.

    The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Note that the detailed theme description page with set-up instructions is here https://wordpress.com/themes/cubic/ and the live demo site is here https://cubicdemo.wordpress.com/

I think I figured it out… maybe the cubic theme just doesn’t allow it on the front page, but it is appearing after i put a widget in the side menu (three lines on right top side in cubic theme)

    That’s good news. :)
