About Me is not saving changes

I needed to edit the about me section of my profile, & it allowed me to remove text, highlight, & type, but when I saved it, it said it saved, but the edited text returned to the text that was there before. I tried searching the support & help forums, but have not found anything yet.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Never mind, it is now appearing as it should. However, I would still like to know whether or not this is something that may cause problems in the future, is simply something that occasionally happens, but corrects itself, or simply a technical hiccup.

Are you referring to the About Me page on your website http://alyssadraco.wordpress.com/about/ or https://wordpress.com/me
If it is the second, I think you’ve found a bug. I just tried this myself and while I received a notice that the changes were saved, the edited text does not appear in the About Me section of the My Profile page, the updated text does appear on my Gravatar profile.

OK then… I’m not really clear where exactly “here” and “the other one” are. :)
Forgive me then for hijacking your thread, but I’m using the same browser and am having issues with the https://wordpress.com/me correctly saving any changes to the About Me section on the My Profile page in the New Dashboard, so I’ve left this thread tagged for Staff information.

My mistake. I didn’t see the “or” at first. The one in the link, http://alyssadraco.wordpress.com/about/, is fine. I just updated it, & everything saved. This one, or https://wordpress.com/me , is the one that wouldn’t save, & then suddenly did save later on.

Can you check to see if you can update the About Me section in your WP Admin dashboard. You can find it under Users > My Profile in your dashboard, or at this direct link:
https://alyssadraco.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-editor
It will help our team to know if the issue is specific to the settings page at https://wordpress.com/me or if you’re having trouble updating it anywhere. Thanks!

@rachelmcr- it was the wordpress.com/me ‘s About Me section on the My Profile page that was not displaying the changes I made, although the changes did display on my Gravatar profile. (screenshots)
Getting rid of both (test) and banana was a bit of a challenge!

@justjennifer — Thanks! I did more testing at https://wordpress.com/me and now I can reproduce that behavior, too. It looks like that page isn’t updating right away with the changes, even though they are saved. I’ll report that to our team so we can investigate why that’s happening!

@rachelmcr – just pointing you to this now closed discussion; perhaps the issues are interconnected having to do with a page cache refresh.
FWIW I tested this behavior again just now, adding the word “cherry” to the end of my profile https://wordpress.com/me and clicked “save profile details” and the results were the same as above.
I’ve included additional screenshots to my cloudup file.Still Chrome, although now Version 45.0.2454.85 m on Win7Pro.

Roughly 10 minutes later, the My Profile page has caught up with the change, so I do suspect the issues are connected.

Thanks for those details, justjennifer. It’s possible that these two issues are related, but the changes at https://wordpress.com/me are saved and cached separately from Screen Options in WP Admin, so it might just be a coincidence. Either way, we’re looking into both of those issues. :) Thanks!

Since @supernovia closed the other thread, I am mentioning here that both issues reported concerning page caching are resolved for me.
