About me page

I am desperately trying to display an “About me” page on my homepage. Just like the one on the The Adventure Theme.
The order parameter is set to 1. The template used is HomePage.
Can someone show me the light?!?
Thanks,
Stephan

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

• Hi,
You would have to set the featured page as your About me page and configure the featured page to be visible in the home page from the Theme options.

Hope that helps.

I don’t know hot to help you on this one but yes I agree with @simplysaru — I don’t think otherwise. Try it. Maybe it helps. Cheers.

These are not “chatty” forums. They are technical support forums. Do not post into support forum threads at all unless you have a relevant and helpful on-topic response to share. As you have said you are new in other threads that means you do not have relevant answers to share. Please stop the rabbit hopping from thread to thread and instead get to work on your own blog please.

• Hi Stephan, looks like you’re almost there. You can add your desired social icons by following these steps from the Adventure setup guide:

1. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Theme.
2. Enter links to your social media profiles within the appropriate fields.
3. Click the Save button.

In future, the best place to get forum help for Adventure is in the theme’s own forum, where the theme author is available to help:

https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/adventure

Let me know if this does the trick.

Hi! We’re trying to edit the about me section on the gateway theme, and the edit button is unresponsive. We’re working from the customization display- should we be trying to edit from elsewhere? Any tips? Thanks!

• @Chelsiemmaynard,
Have you tried editing your About me Page from the Pages Section?
You can edit the page from here https://wordpress.com/pages/ .

Just a friendly advice, next time you may want to start your own thread. Staff and other members don’t always check threads that have replies. Your chances of getting a reply when you start your own thread is much better than when you are joining the conversation on an old thread.

• chelsiemmaynard – it’s not possible to edit pages or posts in the preview pane while the Customizer is open. You’ll need to save your changes and exit the Customizer first.

p.s. simplysaru is spot on, please start a new thread if you need further help, thanks!
