? about moving my domain to wordpress

My domain is supplied by GoDaddy and redirects people to my Weebly website. If I move it to WordPress how do I direct GoDaddy to redirect my .com address?

Hi there,
To use your own domain on a WordPress.com site, you’ll need to upgrade to one of our paid plans.
Then you can either add a domain mapping upgrade, and point the domain’s name servers to us from GoDaddy (note this is not the same as redirecting – a redirect will simply send traffic from the domain to your WordPress.com address, and will not display the domain in the browser address bar for visitors to your site. If a redirect is all you want, that has to be set up at GoDaddy as a 301 redirect, simply pointing to your free WordPress.com URL).

Or you can transfer the domain registration to us entirely, meaning you’d renew the domain with us in future.
