About New Page Link
-
I wonder if there is a way for me to write a new page and when you click on the page title it links to a page outside of wordpress. The reason is that I want to connect it to a form and put the form as a pge and not a post(whereby i think i could make a link)Any ideas? Or am I missing something incredibly simple.

Yes: you can put the link as the title of the page. Only note that the name you give it has to be at least two words (separated by a space); I don’t know why, it doesn’t work with single words.

Sorry but I tried it and the link just jumps from the heder into the text area on the page and becomes HTML text? So strange.

I tried it again, with the theme you are using, and it works. What do you mean by “the link just jumps from the heder into the text area on the page”? Where does that happen, in the page editor or in the actual page itself? Can you give us what you are trying to paste?
-
It happens in the page editor when i write a new page and try to make the page header a link.

You will have to write the link in full HTML code in the title field. Do it as it is explained here in how to write a link:
-
Tried it but it always jumps to the address where it says permalink which is of course my own homepage.
-
Content jumping from the title box to the main editor box is something unheard of, to me at least. Please paste here what you are trying to paste in the title (enclosing it in back-ticks).

Tried it with my link and >two words<but if you look at my blog now it doesn’t appear at the top

But that’s a different story (I’ve been through that again): that’s a problem of the particular theme you’re using, whose header design is flawed. Your “TWO WORDS” is there alright, but it’s misplaced halfway under the second normal page tab and it gets hidden by the header image. You can see it for a moment when you refresh the page. A few days ago I reported this problem to staff.

It does work in other themes, e.g. http://wpvstp.wordpress.com/.
I think it cannot work in Digg. -
By the way, the link works (takes you to an orange-brown contact form) – but of course nobody will see the tab as it is.
I have only seen this bug in Digg 3 – I don’t know if swithing to another theme would be an option for you.
-
Oops, now we have the link itself! We need to see the actual code – paste it ENCLOSED IN BACKTICKS, that is the sign that’s under this ~ on your keyboard.

It is dissapointing that i cant do it however I’m happy that i understand that there is a problem. Thanks for all the help. Much appreciated.

Till the theme gets corrected (IF it does), an alternative would be to put the link in a text widget placed on top of your left sidebar.
