About “New post” Menu..

1-) Can I define a default type and font size for my posts? Because everytime I have to deal with <font size> or <font face> commands..

2-) Although I press “tab” and bring the beginning of the paragraph in for a space(in the visual screen), it comes back when I save it or change the screen to “code” and comeback.. Do I have to use a command for that too? :(

3-) As a general question actually; why is the “visual” part of the “new post” too poor? Is there any specific reason for that? :)

    For the 2nd, I found; <div style=”text-indent: 30px;”> </div>

It makes the movement for the paragraphs that I want to make.. But do I have to write this for each parapraph? Why simply it doesn’t appear when I make it in the “visual” screen..

The answer to the third question is: the software is designed by techies who prefer to deal with HTML and, since it’s free and works well enough for most people, there’s zero incentive to change it. I’m assuming you found the advanced toolbar in the visual editor.

As for “why do I always have to make these changes in every paragraph, and do I?” the answers are because we’re dealing with a template that stores ITs preferences, not ours, and WP.com is unlikely to make the server space available for it to store our individual preferences for free; as for the second half of that question, if you want to use the service for free AND customize it, yes, you have to make these changes by hand every time.

You may be able to automate those changes with the CSS upgrade, if you know how to use CSS. I caution you that if you’re not already familiar with CSS it would be a waste of your money to buy the upgrade; we get so many people complaining that they paid for it and can’t figure it out. It’s not that hard, but do your learning first before buying; it’s like cars.

Thanks for your detailed answer… It seems to be there is no way without html :(

Well, you can at least change the font in the advanced toolbar of the visual editor. That’s one thing. It’s the last icon on the right in the Visual editor.
