About page will not edit

  I have 3 pages in Pages, all appear the same, only the About page will not edit.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It looks like you have made your About page your home page via Settings > Reading.

  To edit a Page, go to Pages and find the Page and click EDIT when you hover over it.

  If you cannot edit a Page, it is usually because you do not have the user role authority to do so. Please check with the administrator of the site, if there is one, or switch to a higher user level.

  If you are the administrator, it should be resolved with the above technique.

  Thanks very much, Lorelle. I finally solved it (many hours later). It turned out that as a Profile page it had to be edited under that designation – all the while appearing as one of two other Pages claiming the same editing procedure. – One would think it a good idea for a “Profile” page designation to appear when one tried to edit it. Thanks again.

  You have set your About page as the front page of the blog at http://paulxylinides.com/ and static front pages are traffic killers.
  Are you sure you want to compel returning visitors to your site, who are looking for your most recently published posts on the blog to have to click through that About page every time they come looking to read your posts? I’m asking this question because I refuse to follow any blogs that have static front pages. If the content is not up front on the front ie. Home page when I click in then I’m gone forevermore. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  Thanks, time thief. Your advice should be very helpful. I did initially have the blog at the beginning and changed when the template indicated that a static front page was most suitable for it. I shall change back, but if you have any recommendations for a more suitable template for a writer/novelist wanting to blog it would be most appreciated. I am new at this and picked what seemed most suitable from what was on offer. My own site is paulxylinides.com if you care to have a look. In any event, many thanks.
