My blog is public available. One page is published and set to private. When I am logged in, this page is readable, as expected. But the page can not be found I the menu as desired. (The orher pages which is published as public, are found in the menu.) What have I done wrong so this will not work? Or did I misunderstand this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Can you check on https://wordpress.com/menus/tryggtro.wordpress.com and see if your private page is included in the menu? If not, then try adding it via “Add a new item”.

Private Posts and Pages behave a bit strange – with Posts and an archive list for example the Private Posts will not be listed with the regular Posts – so I suspect the Private Page behaves in the same manor – in that they are normally completely hidden from anyone not logged in – so you might need to add the Private Page to a Custom Menu by hand for everyone to see the Page (so that you can see it)

I had some problems with Private Posts on a site and had to manually add them to the Archives list with the other Posts

@xijina, @auxclass: Thank you. When I used the black top header admin menu, the private page was not available in the list for menu-editing. When I used the blue top header admin menu, the private page was available in the list for menu-editing. There I was able to insert the private page added as a child-item to one menu item without a parent item.

Although the private page is visible as a child item, it is not always selectable. Often this menu item has grey background and unselectable. An other child menu item which is public, is also often grey and unselectable. I expected that a menu items which the user is pointing to currently with the mouse cursor, would be white and selectable and the other items grey. What should I do to correct this?
