About removing account and webpage

    I recently learned that I can have more than one WordPress website managed under one account. I already have this domain name. If I delete this account, will I be able to immediately add this domain to my other account? I would like to consolidate under one account.

    Certainly not! If you want to move a wordpress.com website to another account, you must follow instructions as described at https://wordpress.com/support/domains/move-a-domain-to-another-wordpress-com-site/

    I don’t believe you understand the question. The Domain name is registered where i want it now. No actual transfer of the domain registration will occur. I have started to configure a new account for the website on WordPress and I haven’t really built anything yet. What I want to do is delete this account and with it the WordPress domain wordpress.com/home/michaelgringo.wordpress.com then re-create the wordpress.com/home/michaelgringo.wordpress.com under my existing account. I also have another domain with another WordPress account. Same situation. I own the domain and it is registered where I want it, but I would like to get down to one wordpress account for all of my websites. Only one website is active on WordPress right now and that’s with the account I plan to keep.

    If I delete my other 2 WordPress account, will the WordPress domains associated with those accounts be Immediately available for me to re-create on the one account I am keeping?

    Hi there,

    What I want to do is delete this account and with it the WordPress domain wordpress.com/home/michaelgringo.wordpress.com then re-create the wordpress.com/home/michaelgringo.wordpress.com under my existing account.

    If you delete the michaelgringo.wordpress.com address, that address will never become available again, so you won’t abe to use that address again, via either this account or another one.

    If you want to use a free example.wordpress.com address under a different account, you need to transfer it to the other account as explained at https://wordpress.com/en/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

    Only once you’ve transferred the site to the account you want to use it with, will it be safe to delete this username account.

    (Also note that if you delete the michaelgringo username account, the username will be permanently disabled, and you won’t be able to create a new account, reclaiming that username, should you want to in future.)

    Just a note that you site’s address that you can share with other people is just michaelgringo.wordpress.com. The address as you’ve posted it here is a link to the dashboard, which only you, as the site owner, has access to. If someone else tries to visit that link they’ll be taken to their own WordPress.com site, or get prompted to create one, instead of reaching your site :)
