Does the new Custom Design recommended upgrade mean I can't use my old Typekit?

    Hi,

I use Typekit, and I just received an email about the new Custom Design $30 upgrade (which I would rather not spend money on). What exactly does this mean:
“You are free to continue using your current Typekit account for as long as you wish, but you’ll have limited editing and functionality”?

Will I have less editing and functionality than I do now, or the same level? If less, in what ways exactly? I love the fonts I use now–are the same ones available on Custom Design? And will there come a point when I can no longer use Typepkit at all?

Many thanks for your help. You support people rock.

That means you can still use Typekit like you did before but you will have limited editing/functionality of the new Custom Design tools like the interface for selecting fonts without needing to get into the code at all and the CSS editor area.

If you had Typekit setup before the Custom Design launch, it’s grandfathered and you will be able to continue to use that Typekit setup in the future.
