About the new WP ?

  Hi

  When the new WordPress Version came out I really liked the new stuff untill I begun to use it, I am having some problems like:

  (1) Embeding video from YouTube .. only what I can find now is a button for video but to upload video from my pc only.
  (2) the same problem with photos I can’t insert a pic from other website I have to uploade it from my pc and if I uploaded it aI have to insert it immediatly or I have re-uploade because I can’t reach the library of my photos so I can insert.

  I am sure it’s simple problems but not for me : D

  1a. To insert a youtube video, you can do it two ways. From within the post editor, click on the “add video” button. Then at the top of that screen, click on the “from URL” tab. You can then paste the URL of the youtube video into the “URL” field and then click “insert into post” button. This support document explains: http://support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/

  1b. The other way to insert youtube videos is to use the youtube shortcode directly in the editor thus:
  [youtube=URLofyoutubevideo]

  2a. To insert an image from flickr or somewhere else, again from within the post editor, click on the “add image” button. Then at the top of the screen, click on the “from URL” tab. You can then paste the URL of the image into the “URL” field and then click “insert into post” button.

  2b. To insert an image that has already been uploaded to your media library, click on “add image” then click on “media library” at the top of that window, then navigate to the image and click the “show” button to the right and configure things as you wish, and then click the “insert into post” button.

  Well now I figure out what is the problem … I’m using the Arabic interface of the WordPress CPanel so I didn’t find the tab in the top of the screen.

  Can I use the English panel but the language of the blog remains Arabic?

  Yes you can. Go to My Account > Edit Profile > Interface Language.

  I change the interface and everything is going on right now … the problem is the Arabic Interface but in the English everything is fine.
