About the personal plan and letting non-bloggers follow me

If I wanna make money through my blog, and I apply for the personal plan, is it still possible? Or do I have to apply of the premium or business plan? And how can I set my blog to let other people who aren’t bloggers follow me? My blog doesn’t let non-bloggers follow me. Please help me

You can do stuff like use affiliate links and sponsored posts already for a free site. Where you need a plan is to apply for participation in our WordAds program, but you also need thousands of views a month on your site before you’re accepted into that program.

To make it easy for non-WordPress.com users to follow your site you need to add the Follow Blog widget to your site. That will allow them to subscribe to email updates to your site.

Sponsored posts is if other people/companies pay you to write posts about them. I don’t know how to go about doing that as I don’t write sponsored posts and don’t know anyone who do.
For affiliate links you need to join an affiliate program. Let’s say, for example, you write book reviews. You can then join Amazon Affiliates, and if you review a book you can add an affiliate link for that book on Amazon so you get money if people reading your review click that link and buy the book.
We allow affiliate links but we don’t support them, so if you need help with any affiliate program you need to contact that program’s support for help.
