About Video uploads

I tried to upload a small video clip (less than one minute) to my blog and the error message said the format was not supported. (Realplayer) Can someone point me to information about uploading videos, what formats you support?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

These are the video embeds that WordPress.com supports for all of our blogs – no upgrade required. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/
Flash embeds are not allowed, with the exception of some specific shortcodes. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
For a Flash workaround see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/ -
Additional info? I just checked, the format is mp3 and the size is 837,000bytes, so it should upload correct?

I created a new page for Videos and Pictures and uploaded some pictures. But on the home page, there is no tab for Vids and Pics. Where are they located? How many new pages am I allowed to make?
