About WordPress subdomain name

  Hello,

  I am the owner of the user name ‘chferfa’ (an acronym of my complete name). I’m trying to register the free domain ‘chferfa.wordpress.com’, but I can’t do it. If I navigate this domain, ‘chferfa.wordpress.com’, the system says that it doesn’t exists and it is reserved.

  I have read several forums and articles; I have understand that WordPress reserves the WordPress subdomain name for the registered user name. But, if I am the owner of the user name ‘chferfa’, why can’t I register the domain ‘chferfa.wordpress.com’?

  I am having the same problem… and no one has responding….irritated. it worked fine the other day… now it’s not working.

  Solved issue.

  After a little bit more research, I have found on this forum the way to register my username associated subdomain. All I have got to do is access this URL: “>https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?new=<USERNAME&gt; (replacing “USERNAME” by my own username).

  Perhaps there is a big link to this address somewhere in the dashboard or elsewhere, but I couldn’t find it…

  Anyway, with this address is possible to create the desired subdomain.
