About WordPress wordads page views in a month

    So I followed the recent forum post .And someone could get like 25,000 views and earn like 20$.😢….eii…then there’s no hope for we getting 5000 views in a month. I’ decided to upgrade but from what is going on , upgrading will be a bad idea…I’m very sad this is what going on.
    Unless someone is willing to clarify the issue for me.Cos I don’t understand

    Hi there,

    You are correct that you’ll need a thousands of views a month on your site to make any meaningful income with online ads. This is true of any ad network on any website, not just WordAds on WordPress.com.

    Online ads are basically an auction, with advertisers bidding on ad space on your site in real time the moment someone loads your page on their computer or phone. How much advertisers bid depends on where that visitor is located (advertisers typically pay more to advertise to someone located in the US), whether or not they opt in to advertising cookies (targeted ads pay more than generic ones), how much other advertisers are bidding, the overall state of the online ad market (which is not very good right now, as COVID-19 is having effects on advertisers as well), etc.

    So if you want to upgrade just to show ads on your site, I’d recommend you wait until you consistently get a significant amount of traffic on your site every month, else the cost of a plan and domain is likely going to be more than what you earn from advertising.
