About.Me line spacing issue
-
Hi everyone,
I’ve added the About.Me widget to my WordPress blog but I’m having issues with line spacing.
If you look at my blog (https://travelcoffeevogue.wordpress.com/) you’ll see that all those lines are clumping up.
In my About.Me page I’ve spaced everything nicely – why isn’t this being reflected in my WordPress?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t think there is any way to fix the problem you see with the widget. The about.me site won’t let you add any additional formatting to bio page, and the widget is interpreting the paragraph breaks as line breaks rather than separate paragraphs.
I’ll mark this for staff assistance in case the developers want to tweak the widget, but I think your options are 1) live with the widget the way it is, or 2) copy/paste the following code into a text widget.
<h1 class="widget-title">about.me</h1><div id="am_thumbnail"><a href="http://about.me/reetharora" target="_blank" rel="me"><img src="http://d13pix9kaak6wt.cloudfront.net/avatar/users/r/e/e/reetharora_1408016746_73.jpg" alt="Reeth Arora"></a></div><h2 id="am_name"><a href="http://about.me/reetharora" style="font-size:large;" target="_blank" rel="me">Reeth Arora</a></h2><div id="am_bio"><p>I am a Travel & Lifestyle Journalist who is high on life, loves comfortable fashion and travels a lot. Hi there,
It looks like the way that the About.me widget is presenting the text is a result of the Twenty Fourteen theme. I have put this in front of some of our developers to see if it’s something which we did on purpose or if it’s more of an accidental thing. As soon as I have some additional information for you, I will let you know!

If you go to your widgets page you should be able to choose a widget called “text widget.” Just copy and paste the code I gave you into the box (leave the title blank_ and put it in your sidebar above or below where your About.Me widget is. Assuming it looks the way you want it to, then you can just remove the About.Me widget.
Here’s more on how the text-widget works: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/
Does that answer your question?

Howdy! Thanks much for this bug report; we’ve fixed the issue with the About.me widget in Twenty Fourteen. :)
Cheers,
Caroline
