ABOUT.ME WIDGET

Hi!
I’m using Sela theme and trying to show the about.me widget on the third footer widget area. The about.me server only returns the name and the background image (but every option is checked on the configuration).
Do I need to change something else?

Can I ask you what’s your About.me name? I tried on my blog with The Sela Theme and the widget displays correctly.
I was wondering if you have added the other elements (such as apps, bio etc) in order to make the widget display them.Sorry for the silly questions but I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong with the widget. Thanks!

Thanks for answering to my question so quickly.
Like you suggested, I had a look on my about.me profile and the bio and social links where missing (not sure why because I remember saving them).
I just wrote the text again and now it’s showing up on the wordpress frontpage.
Thanks for that!!! :)The only missing thing now is the photo, that only shows up when I choose “background” from the widget dropdown menu. But I wanted to use the bio photo.

I’m not an expert on the About.me platform, but I’m guessing that the bio picture is related to the account option you choose to login to About.me.
I used Twitter and the widget now displays my Twitter avatar. So I’m assuming that the widget takes the avatar/picture you’ve got on the account you use to login. So if the account you used to login doesn’t have any image, the widget can’t display any bio picture.I hope my explanation is clear. Can you double check for me if that might be your case? Thank you!

I see what you mean.
I couldn’t find another picture rather than the photo. And the account setting options are only email and password. So not sure what else can do.
I think I will change the about.me widget for the gravatar’s one. That one is showing ok.Thanks so much for your help with my question!!

You may want to try logging in with another account (ie email or Facebook) to see if any picture will appear on the About.me widget.
I see that on the About.me settings there’s not a specific option for uploading a bio pic, and that makes me wonder if there’s something I’m missing out!

Hi there — a quick update on this. We’ve fixed the widget settings to just show Photo (on or off). Which now pulls correctly from your About.me “Photo” settings.
