about.me widget

    Apologies if this is a repost I haven’t been able to find any answers to this. I am a bit of a newb when it comes to wordpress but I have seen that my about.me widget will no longer be available but I really like the layout of it. I have tried Gavatar but it has come up with a hover card which I don’t like. Could anyone help me with an alternative?

    Hi there,

    About.me is no longer supporting the widget, and is no longer allowing us to use it, which is why it is being removed.

    We don’t have any other widgets available to show your profile from another service, so the only other option is to use a regular text widget instead.

    Create a new draft post or page on your site and add the information you want to show in the widget, formatted the way you want it. Then switch to the HTML editor and copy the code appearing there. Paste that code into a new text widget. It won’t be perfect, but it’s the closest you’ll be able to get.
