Abuse/Site take down

  This site: is hosted by WordPress. It was posted by my ex husband, and it contains false and derogatory information about me. When I try to report the abuse, I get a message that it is not a WordPress hosted site. Do I have any remedies?

  That site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere: https://www.whoishostingthis.com/#search=178.154.252.239

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.   Your best option is to report it to the hosting provider’s abuse contacts.
