Note that you have complete control over everything that’s posted to your blog.

Mark only spam as spam
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/01/24/mark-only-spam-as-spam/We cannot block or delete subscribers from public blogs. Everyone on the internet can view and follow any public blog. That is in fact what the public designation means.
You can change your blog visibility to “private” http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ Please read this about public blogs that become private blogs > Blog Privacy and Subscribers > http://wpcommaven.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/blog-privacy-and-subscribers/

You can blacklist or force to moderation – by name, email etc.
Dashboard >> settings >> Discussion Settings
that will work until they figure out that you are zapping their comments on some sort of filter – then they just need to make a new identity to post comments

For trolls, you can “blacklist” them at Settings > Discussion toward the bottom of that page as auxclass suggests. Enter their email address, their username, and if they included it, their website. That will automatically send them to moderation so that their comments do not appear on the blog.
Do note though that if they are determined, they can use a different email address or username to get around that.
Also, do not put their IP address in the comment blacklist. IP addresses are no longer unique. ISP’s put hundreds of us in the same IP block to save money so you might end up blocking legitimate visitors.
Also, all they would have to do is go to a wi-fi hot spot, or connect via a different ISP and they could get around that.

Morning Morning @TT – sadly no shortcut to glory on abusive commentators – the only for sure way is to 100% moderate comments – but some types of blogs that slows things down more than the blog owners want – sad that abuse exists – when I find a blog where I think the owner is a whack job nut case I just keep on going – nothing I say will change their mind (assuming they have one to start with) –
