accepted users cannot post

I have just created a blog for my job and co-workers.
They are accepting the invite and on the dash board this is shown…
BUT, THEY HAVE NO “POST” OPTION!!!!!

I am seeing a number of invitations, however I am not seeing that any have accepted the invitations.
Are sure that they clicked the accept link in the email? If these are brand new WordPress.com accounts that were created after they clicked accept, they may need to return to the email and click again.

Yes… she accepted the invite and still no go.
So I re-invited her…
She put in her email and password and it shakes as in, “not correct”.
She even signed up again, so to speak, and no go. She should get an email for trying to change the pass word, and she doesn’t…She had gotten in two weeks ago… but I changed the theme as that one was not good for us.. now she is locked out!

I am also standing over these people and they are not getting the normal “register” page… they are only getting sign up for a blog!
Then when they go to our web,, they cannot log on despite that they follow the direction options presented to them!Dee

I took her out of the invite to hopefull get the “system” to calm down!Interestingly she had been the only one to post on the other theme…so I am deleting everything of hers to “clear the decks”!

It sounds like she has gotten an invite to one account and is logging in with another account. I have a feeling that is the crux of the issue.

i have invited several people to blog as authors… some get on, yet some can accept & cannot post. I deleted them and STILL….. two people cannot “get on” and the other cannot “POST”. One can click on “text” but text does not pop open for her to write. On the dash board it says author & has accepted invite. I have deleted and tried to invite again multiple times and even waited overnight to re-invite, and system says that she is already accepted (Pneil) and for mary.a.reday it jiggles that her password is wrong and finally after a couple of trys, locks her out! I have no idea what more to do and why it works for some and not others… and I watch over their shoulders! Frustrations are blowing my way from these folks!

Rather than deleting, you might try asking people to try deleting their browser cache.
Also, what URL are you directing them to when they try to “get on” the site?

If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, and that account has been set up as a user role that allows it (author, editor, etc), they should be able to go to:

Invited her the way you said to. I got a message asking me if I wanted to aprove her. I did . She still cannot post.
