  What other option is there for accepting payments, besides Stripe?

  You can use PayPal to accept payments. This is already built into WordPress.com.

  The Pay with PayPal block lets you add a PayPal payment button to any post or page. You can then start collecting payments or donations securely through your site.   However, if you want to use any other payment method, you can install the WooCommerce plugin and turn your website into a fully-fledged online store.
