  Hi, my domain registration just recently expired with Dream Host. I renewed but accidentally made the mistake of thinking that they hosted the site, so i signed up for a plan. However when I tried to access my wordpress site and also use the recovery option I couldn’t. All the previous content is now not available on Dream Host. I want to host with WordPress again. How do I get access to my WP account and register for hosting with all my original content?

  Can you tell me the domain you’re speaking of?

  I see there’s a Jetpack connection in your account for the domain, dividedselfproductions.com. But that site was only connected to us via the Jetpack plugin, not hosted on our servers, and we don’t have any of your content for that site. (You also had that domain connected to your WordPress.com site at vinnywarren1.wordpress.com at one point, but that was only for a year, from November 2016 to November 2017.)

  Unfortunately I have no way of telling you who used to host your content for that domain. I usually check Securitytrails.com, but they don’t have any historic DNS records for your domain: https://securitytrails.com/domain/dividedselfproductions.com/history/ns

  So the only people who might be able to tell you is Dreamhost. They should have logs of past name server and/or DNS changes on your domain, which might contain some clue of which provider you had that domain hosted with.
