I’m trying to figure out the same. I’m trying to approve a comment and when I click through my email I end up at a blank page. The fact that there is zero support is really frustrating.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble also serenamuse. I, too, am disappointed with the support level of WordPress. I have history with WordPress — many posts — and don’t relish the thought of starting over with a new website. It’s disheartening that I am hindered from posting on the site that I have had for so many years. Such a feeling of powerlessness! Is there really no phone number we can call to get one-on-support from a real human being?

Hmmmm … This is interesting. That is an obsolete email — as in eons ago — and I’ve been able to add posts all along without that email. But thank you for nailing down the problem, even though it makes no sense! This gives me hope! I will do as you say! :)

I did as you said — logged out and back in again — and it still says I do not have an account. Now what?

You must log out from current inthesonroom110218 and log in again as newsong77, not as inthesonroom110218 !!
