access a taken address that I took

    lisaarrindell.com is listed as taken….i think i took it over a year ago and need help changing lisaarrindellanderson.com to lisaarrindell.com
    Are you able to help me?

    Hi there,

    lisaarrindell.com is a custom domain. Custom domains need to be registered before you can use them.

    To register that domain, go to My Site ->Domains ->Add and register it there. This is a paid upgrade that needs to be renewed every year.

    Your free address, http://lisaarrindellanderson.wordpress.com/, won’t go away, but won’t be visible to users of your site. If you ever cancel the domain or let it expire your site will go back to using that free address.

    Thank you for your reply. I actually want to change my free site name by removing a part of it:
    lisaarrindellanderson.wordpress.com
    would become
    lisaarrindell.wordpress.com

    How may I do that, please?

    To change the free address, go to My Site ->Domains and click the arrow next to the free address. You’ll see the option to change it there.

    Please read all the instructions and warnings carefully, as this process cannot be reversed. Especially note that if you choose to delete the current address it will be gone forever and you won’t be able to get it back, so consider keeping the old address as well.

    When you’re offered the option to make a new username to match the new address, also keep in mind that if you change your current username to something else, your current username will never be available to use again, even for you.
