  Hello

  I really know nothing about wordpress, but is it possible to control who has access to which item in a wordpress blog?

  In particular, is it possible to set up wordpress so that it selectively gives access to a particular item or items after payment of a fee and then expires after a set period of time has passed? In other words, I am looking for a very granular user access facility with an expiring payment facility.

  If you want paid access to the blog, or parts of the blog, you do not want to host here at wordpress.COM as what you are proposing would be against the terms of service. We are not allowed to monetize blogs here in anyway.

  You need to self-host a blog on a third-party hosting service using the software from wordpress.ORG to be able to do that, and I’m sure there are plugins that would allow to do what you are wanting. http://wordpress.ORG
