access disabled?

    hi,
    using win 12 and vodafone wifi (courtesy of my neighbour), I am recently getting messages like ‘your site is enabled TLS 1.1 – it needs to be 1.2 as the former will be disabled…. Very slow to access dashboard and virtually impossible to access notifications at all. I have searched high and low but can’t find the/any answer.
    Have found plugins might help, but I can’t use a paid plan. So where next…?
    Also noticed in the process,that it might be worth looking at
    backup of my content which I don’t know how to either.
    My IT background is ECDL part 1 from 2002. So mind your language please. TY :-)

    I’m not sure I understand, as Microsoft does not list Windows 12 as a currently available version when I look here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows

    Can you visit this page and let us know what you see for “Operating System” and “Web Browser”?

    thanks so much for getting back; I have some CFS symptoms and may have gotten confused – is the current one Win 10?
    my web browser is google chrome

    the message I reported appeared briefly only saying ‘your system is enabled for TLS 1.1 – this will be disabled… you need to upgrade’ – I could only find info relating to commercial activity and wordpress.org where TLS 1.2 seems relevant and I have no interest in and no access to either.

    I have not seen this message for a few days now, but that could be because my vodaphone connection did not break – it appeared when I had to reconnect.

    However, fact is, related or not, that I cannot access my notifications in wordpress (when I see the bell highlighted with a dot) – what I get to see is the screen that would show briefly when the notification loads only it gets stuck there (with the blue circle circling…, the same with loading reader now…

    I hope this helps (even without the screenshot for now)

    First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
