Access old editing format?
-
I am suddenly unable to access the format I always used to add new blogs or edit old ones. I did manage to publish a new blog, but I had a of trouble finding everything that I used to know exactly how to find. Is there any way to access the old format?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I had the same problem as well. I found that if I went to my stats page first and then clicked on “posts” from that page that the old editor was there. I hope this helps you.

I apologize, that should be the comments page, the stats page still gives me the new editor.

I like the old editor much better too. So I go to “blog posts” under the “My Site” menu which takes you to a list of old posts and drafts. There used to be a “new post” button there, so you could start a new post and edit it using the classic format. But this evening when I tried that, the “blog posts” page is in a clunky new format. Why can’t they just leave it alone? I don’t like this new format! Just let those of us who like the old way have a place to do that!

Thank you mpinkeyes. That actually worked. It certainly wasn’t intuitive for me. How did you even think of doing it that way? I hope it doesn’t disappear from that way of accessing it.

I completely agree southernbeale. If they want to change it, they should at least tell people how to access the old format. So many things were hard to find in the new one.

This did not work for me. The left hand side bar displayed a link “blog posts”, clicking on it took me to a new editor, not the old classic one.

mabelamber, it works from the Comments page, not the Stats page. Just hope it keeps working.

Does anyone know how to contact WordPress directly. This new editor sucks and I want the better one back.
-
Thanks for the workaround, I was able to get to the editor by going through comments as well…
-
Like another member, I would like to inform WordPress that users like the old editor better, because I am afraid that suddenly the workaround could disappear.

I also noticed my normal method of accessing editor was not working, giving me the Beep Beep Boop crap that I consider totally unworkable. I think it is only for people who write short articles on tablets or something. It does not offer sufficient functionality for someone who actually blogs. Anyway, I found my normal editor by clicking on WP Admin and things seem to work OK. If the normal editor disappears, I done with WordPress blogging.

Thanks! That worked.
(For the moment, till WP so very very kindly decides to cut us off from this last straw.)

New editor is something I can not work with. Do I have to move my complete blog content now? :-/
Is anybody from WÜ staff reading this? So many unhappy users. What are they thinking?
Here the solution that worked for most of the people
https://ombiaombia.wordpress.com/2016/01/15/how-to-force-a-redirect-to-the-classic-wordpress-com-editor-interface/I am still trying to find out why it is not working with my blog.

For the moment, you can still get to the “classic” editor via the dashboard or the admin strip’s drop-down menu on the comments editor page. From those two starting places you can also access the classic version of the “all posts” feature to use the “classic” editor on older posts.
Will those remaining ways to access the classic editor be removed? Yes, we can expect that. It’s the trend. Little by little, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to use the classic editor.

Although I can’t access drafts from comments, I just realized. Will try the other ones you suggested, sensuouscurmudgeon.

If it is not broken why fix it !!! The old Edit & New Posts where much better & user friendly & quicker which you need for Archiving. Also there are no options on the Text [HTML] format like automatic bold.
BRING BACK THE OLD EDIT & NEW POST FUNCTIONS
