Access old editing format?

    The problem is that “somewhere else” can never be a safe harbour, free from (unwelcome) changes.

    Again, we don’t foresee getting rid of wp-admin anytime soon, though I am sure it will change over the years as it has already done.

    WordPress.org has archives of old versions, though. So if at some point you want to go back to an older wp-admin, you could conceivably run your own copy at another host. You would just need to find ways to keep the system securely up to date while avoiding any changes to its functionality.

    Again, our intention with Calypso is to let folks manage multiple sites through one interface regardless of what device they’re using. But you can add /wp-admin to the end of your URLs to continue using that interface.
