Access the WP-Admin Panel
-
I recently made a change which I changed the installation of wordpress from smsalman.com/blog to smsalman.com/ on the wp-admin panel. Now I can’t access wp-admin or see the wordpress blog at all. When I go to smsalman.com/blog it is just displaying a 404 NOT FOUND error. I want to reverse this but I can’t access the wp-admin which I usually did from smsalman.com/blog/wp-admin but now I can’t and just displays ‘The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.’ smsalman.com/wp-admin but that doesn’t work either. I also tried smsalman.com/blog but same thing occurs. So I want to know how to access wp-admin panel now or if I can change the installation directory some way without accessing wp-admin and editing the wordpress files.

I’m sorry but those sites are not hosted by wordpress.COM. Our support docs do not apply to it, and we do not provide support for them. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Oh I had no idea that the .com and .org were actually separate. Thank you for the calerification.
