access to a wordpress site

    Good day, recently we acquired the domain name of a wordpress site but when attempting to log in and change the site etc.. we were not able to do so as we don’t have the log in info. How do we go about making a change to allow us to access the site? We do not know what the login email is or the password.

    What is the site that you need help with?

    You can only access the dashboard of the site from the account that originally registered the domain. WordPress.com is unable to give out account information. This information is deemed private, and kept private for our security.

    Can you get in touch with the original owner of the site? If so, ask them to Transfer the site over to you. That will transfer ownership to you, and you will be able to make the changes you desire to the site.
