Access to dashboard
-
I cannot access the dashboard of an old WordPress site (from 10 years ago) and did not have an administrator as I managed my own site
-
Hey there, could you send a link to the site you’re trying to access?
If the site is hosted here on our servers this may help:
You may also be able to log out and log back in with the email address that gets notifications and what not.
Or, for your own copy of WordPress with a different host, ask your host for help with this:

When I try to log in the message I get is:
User Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
You are logged in… and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard…. and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.Problem is I didn’t have an administrator and I want to delete this entire wordpress blog.

Hi there,
You shared the wrong link. What’s the address of the site so we can have a look?
-
-
Alright, that site was created under a different account. You are currently logged in as
hannahviviers116. You’ll want to log out from this account and log back in using a different email address. If you’re having trouble with that, check out this page and fill out the Account Recovery form to regain access to the account:

I’ve been unable to find any of the info required to recover the account. So while I can’t recover the account, information on the “recover your account” page suggested that If there’s personal information on my blog, I may request that wordpress set it to private so that search engines and users can’t access it. May I please request this be done for me?
-
You can reach out here:
passwordhelp@wordpress.comYou might also try making a comment on the site, then checking all of your email addresses for a comment notification. Log in with the email address that received a notification.

At this stage I would appreciate the blog being made private so it can’t be found on search engines. I’ve tried password help and I’m still locked out of the dashboard. Please advise how I can request the page to be made private?
-
@hannahviviers116 I don’t see the request to password help; can you try again?
We can delete the thread but cannot make it private.

I have reset my password so many times but still can’t access my dashboard. How can I request the entire blog be made private ?
-
Please send an email to passwordhelp@wordpress.com explaining the situation, and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do for you.
