Access to my user name and password

    My web developer developed my website using WordPress. He provided me with a link and user name ”Admin” and a password. I do not know my user name and password. How do I change them? The developer is actually died and I have no where to go for help.
    Is there a tele number to call for support.

    Terribly sorry to hear about your developer, but I need to clarify that I do not see any sites under your WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

    Is it possible your web developer set up your site on another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? If so, those providers use a different version of the WordPress platform called “wordpress.org” which is the free open-source version of the WordPress software.

    Because we have no connection to sites hosted with other providers, you will want to instead ask for help in the wordpress.org forums here: http://wordpress.org/support/
