Access to old blog

    Hi!
We’ve got a client that has a live blog on site.wordpress.com. However, it hasn’t been used since 2013. The client has another live site that they continuously work with. That said, the old blog has a lot of old information, most of it is wrong as per today. Also the old blog is indexed, competing with the new site in SEO etc.

The situation is complicated since no one involved with the old blog works at the company today, and no one knows who set it up. We simply cannot find out the account that is used to administer the site. We haven’t got a clue, not even for editing.

How can we figure out who the admin is, and retrieve the credentials that way? Or can we send som kind of legal document to get the old blog shut down?

    Yours,
    Anders Brohäll

Hi Anders, I’d recommend working with the account recovery team. They will need some sort of proof of ownership:

You can reach out here if needed: passwordhelp@wordpress.com.
