Access to private blog

  My family are having trouble accessing my private blog – would it be easier for them if
  1. I made it public
  2. I had my own domain (my name is available)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  1 yes 2 not really, although if they’re VERY absent-minded making it simpler, like whatever.com, is better than whatever.wordpress.com.

  Thank you raincoaster – so they would just go straight to http://www.heatherarts.wordpress.com and not have to log-in?

  2. Ask search engines not to index this site.

  With that option, they could also subscribe to your blog without having to make a WordPress.com account to view it:

  Thanks Tess, have done that & will now find a granddaughter to subscribe without a WordPress account.
  If I called it FB they would have known what to do!!!
