  Hello, we had a website associated with an account that was deleted. That account had not been transferred to our new account @dermhospitalists. Is there anyway with the previous account holder deleting their account to either connect or gain access to the site?

  Hi there!

  Deleting a WordPress.com account also deletes any sites created/owned by that account. As the site societydermatologyhospitalists.com is still active, so is the WordPress.com account that owns it. I understand you want to transfer the site from its current account to dermhospitalists. Is that correct?

  If yes, you’ll first need to access the correct account that owns the site. The previous account owner needs to log in and transfer the site and its subscriptions to your account. Here are the instructions they will need to follow:

  • Move the domain to another account
  • Change the site ownership

  Once the above is completed, we can move the WordPress.com Personal plan to your account.

  If the previous owner doesn’t remember the account password, please have them follow the account recovery instructions on this page. They can also fill out this account recovery form so we can help them get back into the account.
