Access to the post editor

In a support document I read how you can post-schedule a post in the Publish module which is in the post editor (which is what I need to do while building a blog)
Is there a way to access the post editor or the publishing module
directly? If I have to edit the post to have access to them, I have to begin by publishing my new post first, which is what I do no want to do. Is my question clear ??? :)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot schedule a post that has yet to be created.

Thank you AGAIN. I admire how fast you are. What I am talking about would have been possible if that “scheduling module” were placed in the New Post page. You type your post and you schedule it right there (good idea???). -Can I achieve what I want by saving each post as a draft, and then pretend that I am editing it so I can get access to the post editor and the publish module? What do you think?
