Access to website if the original creator is no longer with the company

How do I find who originally created the website if they no longer work for the company?

    Hi there!

If the original creator of the website is no longer with the company, there are still a few reliable ways to identify who created it or, more importantly, regain proper access and ownership.

First, check the WordPress.com account and site ownership.

If you have admin access to the site, go to Settings → General → WordPress.com Site Settings. This will show all sites overview and activity by users.

If you do not have admin access, look at the billing email and receipts.

The email address that receives WordPress.com billing notices is usually tied to the account that created the site. Searching company inboxes for WordPress.com receipts or renewal emails can often identify the original account holder.

You can also check domain registration details, if the site has a custom domain.

The domain registrar information (billing contact or registrant email) often matches the account that originally set things up. This is especially helpful if the site was created alongside a domain purchase.
