access to WordPress on school internet
-
So I work as an IT tech at a school in London. In London schools use a service called London Grid For Learning (LGFL).
LGFL filters all of our web traffic, and we have the ability to make exceptions in their firewall for the school.
The problem is that the school has a WordPress but when you try to log on when on the school internet you get the message password incorrect, regardless of whether the password is right or not. When off the network, you can log in no issues.
After speaking to LGFL, they suggested reaching out to WordPress to see if any ports or protocols that would need to be submitted as a MIP, because they can not see any other reason for this to be happening.
I hope someone on here can point me in the right direction.

Hi,
This is WordPress.com forum, It seems like your website is using the open source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) which is hosted elsewhere rather than WordPress.com. Which means, WordPress.com staff are limited to access the file hosted elsewhere. Please know more here about the differences https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/However, same topic already raised at ORG forum here which might help you https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-sign-in-says-invalid-password-but-its-actually-correct/
For general discussion, you can ask the WordPress.org community where you’ll find more experts on open source software for advice at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/. They’re the people using the same software as you who can provide help.
Thanks
