Accessing blog
-
My apologies for the repost – there were some issues on my end that kept me from being able to address the issue quickly enough last time. Anyway, I’ve been locked out of one of my accounts for awhile. I’ve tried having the password reset option sent to all of my emails multiple times, to no avail. I even made sure to check the spam and trash folders every time, and didn’t see anything there either. I’m wondering if there is a way to access my account again. Here is the address: https://bricabracsquared.wordpress.com/
Thank you in advance for your time. -
Hi korneadams,
bricabracsquared.wordpress.com is owned by the account kiernynroa. It looks like we’ve been unable to send emails to the address on that account (due to an issue with the email address). For security reasons, I can’t share which email address that is but it explains why none of the password reset emails are coming through to you.
If you are unable to remember the password or login as kiernynroa (with the password you remember), we’ll need you to fill out the account recovery form:
Thanks!

Thank you so much for the information! I think I know which email address you’re talking about. However, since it is no longer operational, I have no way to recover the proof of ownership materials. Is there any other way to recover the account?

Hi there,
Did you purchase any upgrades on the account kiernynroa? If so, you may be able to find a Transaction ID on your credit card or PayPal statement to verify ownership.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/
Hope this helps!

Thanks @eozonlin87. Sadly kiernynroa doesn’t have upgrades.
But, @korneadams, if you send a password reset, you may be able to figure out the correct email, too, so you can regain access. Or, if you need to, you could contact the mail provider to regain access to that account.

Sounds good. I’ll see if I can get a hold of the mail provider and recover it. This might be an odd question, but if that doesn’t work, is there a way that I can PM the tech support team to provide the address as proof?
Thanks!

@korneadams the address would not be sufficient proof. Imagine, for example, a disgruntled ex-employee trying to take over their former employer’s site. They’d have the email address, so can you imagine what could happen if we granted them access?
Still, if you’d like to reach out to our account recovery team directly, you can do so here:
passwordhelp@wordpress.com. I hope you can get your old address back. Good luck!
