Accessing domain registered with WordPress after removal from site

  Hiya

  I set up a new site with a personalised domain (kearinarmstrong.com) but what I needed to do was add the new domain to my existing site (thewinsomebaker.com) because I may change my site name in the future.

  I removed the domain from the new site and still technically own it until it expires a year from now (wordpress doesn’t refund the domain registration) but I cannot map it to my existing site because it is still “mapped to another wordpress site.”

  How can I gain access to use and map the new domain and re-map it?
