I’m using a password protected blog on WordPress.com. I would like subscribe to its feeds in google reader however I can’t figure out to get this done.
Is there a way to provide httpauth-Authentification or something like that?

Is the blog set to private under settings > privacy?

Assuming the blog is set to private, private blogs do not have RSS feeds. The reason is that that would defeat the purpose of having the blog set to private.

The reason there aren’t password protected feeds is that the people and entities involved in the RSS standards can’t agree on how it should be done. Until a standard emerges, and until all feed aggregators adopt it, no feeds for private blogs.
