Accessing FTP Information to edit WordPress site with Elementor
-
I am working on making some edits to a WordPress site and I am running into a few issues that I cannot solve. It was built using Elementor and when I try editing any of the content, I just get an error message stating that the ‘Content Area Was Not Found’. I researched and found that I need to add the content function to the FTP files. This is where I am running into issues. I know the hosting provider is Amazon and I have tried connecting to the server, but I do not have the login information. Someone else built this site and did not provide any of the login information or host information to go along with the site (other than the WordPress logins). Am I at a loss without additional logins from the previous builder or is there a way around this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have been researching and trying to solve this for the past week and do not know where else to turn. The site I am editing is https://carefinders.org/

Hey there~! WordPress doesn’t have FTP info in it at all, and modifying files by FTP may not be the best solution anyway.
Here’s what I’d recommend:
– Talk to Elementor support first:
https://elementor.com/support/– If you still need to use FTP, contact your host for help accessing it.
– Going forward, these forums are primarily for sites that use our free-tier hosting. We’re a little different from the WordPress software itself:
https://wordpress.com/go/website-building/wordpress-com-vs-wordpress-org/You’ll want to create an account at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ so you’ll have access to the correct community for your site. Or, you’d be welcome to host here; your plan would get direct support.
I hope this helps!
