Accessing my .com account as an administrator
-
I paid to go from https://simplyscrambled.wordpess.com to https://simplyscrambled.com. However, I cannot seem to access it in any way to administrate it (adding new posts, etc.)
The domain page says the transfer was successful, but I do not know how to do anything aside from view it. How do I access the .com dashboard with being sent back to my old .wordpress.com domain? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

an Admin for http://simplyscrambled.com/ will always work in the dashboard of https://simplyscrambled.wordpess.com/ – that is the way that Domain Mapping works – visitors see simplyscrambled.com/ when they visit – but you make posts on simplyscrambled.wordpess.com/
-
This link should let you login to your site and access the dashboard: http://simplyscrambled.com/wp-admin/

I tried that before and it still shows my account as being full :
“3,072 MB Space Allowed 3,070.91 MB (100%) Space Used”and the URL shows up as:
“https://simplyscrambled.wordpress.com/wp-admin/”.While I can view it as simplyscrambled.com, any time I try to do anything as admin, it reverts back to my old .wordpress.com account.
Now what?

I can view it as simplyscrambled.com, any time I try to do anything as admin, it reverts back to my old .wordpress.com account.
that is the way domain mapping works

Does that mean that while I paid for simplyscrambled.com rather than simplyscrambled.wordpress.com I do not get more than the 3072 mb storage space allowed there? Why would that be? Looking at my ‘plan’, it shows as free, but looking at the domain mapping it verifies my new .com and it took my $17 + $7 ($24) readily enough. Why would I pay for something I already have?
This perplexes me. -
The domain mapping you paid for was to change the address visitors see from /simplyscrambled.wordpess.com/ to /simplyscrambled.com/ – it did not create a second site – the sites are the exact same site – only the address visitors see has been changed

You’ve paid that amount for the top level (.com) domain name. If you want to increase your WordPress.com blog’s storage space, you need to buy WordPress.com premium or business plan.
WordPress.com “premium plan” can add 10 GB storage to your current blog. It costs $99/year.
The “business plan” comes with unlimited storage space and it costs $299/year.
