  Suddenly today neither I nor visitors can access my site. The latest posts I’m seeing are from last month, nothing from July. I’m not tech savvy, so I need an answer in layman’s terms

  Are you talking about https://charleskonia.wordpress.com/? That site is up and runnng for me in Europe. The most recent post on your frontpage is titled “What Is Happening In The Middle East?” and dates back to June 19, 2014.
  I also found charleskonia.com which isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform, https://www.whoishostingthis.com/#search=charleskonia.com. Therefore we can’t help you with that site. You must contact your hosting to solve this problem.
