Accessing my site

I am trying to edit my wordpress (tried on my computer and app), but it keeps saying to check your jetpack connection. It won’t let me see the stats or anything with my site. When I try to log in thru my site, it says no username found, wordpress account is not linked to my site?

I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    Hi there!

Can you let us know what the URL is of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

    Thank you!

Thanks for that! Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere. We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.

It sounds like that the Jetpack connection is broken, that’s why you can’t log in.

Your site – hosted with Bluehost – was likely pre-configured with Jetpack and to use your WordPress.com account to login so no username/password was issued for your site.

Reach out to Bluehost for help and they can help you set a login separate from the WordPress.com login. You can reach them here:

    https://www.bluehost.com/contact

Then, you once you are able to log in, you should be prompted to reconnect Jetpack. If not and you’re still having trouble, reach out to Jetpack Support for help.

    Hope that helps!
