Accessing old site without attached email account

  I have been asked to take down / rename a website I put up in 2012 because it conflicts with a newly registered university in Washington state. I no longer have access to the email account I used to set it up or any of the records I received while setting it up, nor is it even connected to my current WordPress site. I forgot it existed.

  Hi, Susan. I’ve had this happen before.

  The best way to do regain access is to complete the Account Recovery Form here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

  Fill out as much information as you can and submit it. Someone will reach out to you after.

  @susannadw you’ll need to demonstrate you own the account, otherwise people would be going around taking down each other’s sites left and right. I’ll email for details.
