Accessing stats data
-
Hi – I was wondering if there is any way of accessing the stats information other than the simple ‘last 30 days graph’ – and particularly if it can be exported. I know you can give &enddate=07-5-15 etc. as an argument to the stats module and you can see what your top posts were for that day, so I know the information is captured somewhere, but I don’t know any other way of getting it out. I’ve given the FAQs and forums a pretty thorough search, but sorry if this is a duplication.
In case it’s relevant our blog is: http://ourkingdom.wordpress.com
Thanks for all help, Jon

Currently can’t be exported. Been discussed before and we’ve made the suggestion to submit the idea via feedback as staff keeps track of suggestions made via that method.

sorry for slow reply, do you know of any other arguments (like enddate) that I can use when calling stats.php? I only really need to get the total hits for about 12 days towards the beginning of may, it is irritating to know the data exists but can’t be accessed!

not really. all that i know of is the enddate currently. theres a faq on the stats and that’s the only one listed.

If anyone’s interested, there’s more info on how to access stats from different days here:

Thanks for the replies.

well, this is not a ready to use solution just a hint into direction: it’s possible to extract a ‘total hits for each day’ as a raw XML data file from the last 30 days* flash graph you can see on stats page.
this XML file could be exported into Excel or something.
is that you’re interested in?
and yes, it takes some… efforts to automate this procedure.
*) later data may be expired, dunno for sure
