Accessing the editor

  Hi,

  I am making a new site and am trying to access the Editor to be able to insert some code, but I do not seem to have access to this. I have used it on sites previously and I have never had a premium account. Please let me know how I can do this.

  Sorry but you are in the wrong place. These forums are only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  And you should ask in the WordPress.org forums.
  http://wordpress.org/support/

  If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there.

  But my site is hosted by wordpress.com. I didn’t add that last part to my post. The site I need help with is youthprahacom.wordpress.com.

  Ok, your classic editor or WP Admin is here:
  https://youthprahacom.wordpress.com/wp-admin

  You need to put the correct user & password in order to access it.

  Thanks. I am able to access this already, but what I cannot seem to access is the Appearance/Editor area which I need to be able to make an index file. Is this feature still available?

  Yes, go to My site (or My sites) in the upper left corner, and scroll down to WP Admin

  You can bookmark the URL https://youthprahacom.wordpress.com/wp-admin as well.

  Thanks so much for writing. Maybe I’m not explaining myself properly. I can access the WP Admin. The issue is that I cannot access the Appearance Editor to be able to edit the code. I specifically want to enter HTML code to be able to change the appearance of my site. I have been able to do this with other WP hosted sites, so I’m not sure why the Editor function is no longer available under the Appearance menu. Does that make sense?

  You can’t use HTML code for do that.

  For change the appearance of your site, You need to use CSS rules:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/

  And the Custom Design is included in Premium & Business plans.
