Accessing WordPress Admin portal

  I recently transferred my WordPress site to Squarespace, but I still need access to my WordPress admin panel. Now when I go to chipperfieldphysio.ca/wp-admin/ it gives me a 404 error and doesn’t allow me to login. Is there a workaround for this?

  Domain names can only point to one hosting provider, so you’ll need to direct the domain name back to your previous hosting provider’s name servers to still access it.

  Consult your former hosting provider’s documentation for their name servers and your domain registrar’s documentation for changing your domain’s name servers.

  So just to be clear, I have to transfer my site back to WordPress in order to delete my WordPress account? There is no other way to access the WordPress dashboard?

  Hi there,

  To clarify, we are not the only provider of WordPress sites, so we only have control over the sites we host here on our managed service. This means as a company we are not connected to GoDaddy, and don’t have access to your site since it is hosted on their servers and not our.

  Due to this I recommend you contact GoDaddy support for assistance. They may be able to assign a temporary URL to your site with them so you can access it. If not you may need to temporarily point your chipperfieldphysio.ca address back to GoDaddy (so you can access contents there) and then switch back to Squarespace when you are done.
